Description: Located in Somerset, Yeovil sits to the south of the county. Yeovil traditionally made gloves and the population grew as the industry expanded during the industrial revolution. In 1853 Yeovil was connected to the rail network. It developed aircraft and defence industry in the 1900s such as Westland, which made helicopters. As a result it was bombed during the Second World War.
