Description: Located in Greater London, Swiss Cottage sits in North London. It is named after the inn situated there called the Swiss Tavern (now the Swiss Cottage), which was constructed in 1804. It was became part of the underground network in 1868. Originally part of the parish of Hampstead in the county of Middlesex, it became part of London in 1889. In 1900 it was renamed the Metropolitan Borough of Camden. In 1965 it became part of the London Borough of Camden in Greater London.
