Description: Located in Suffolk, Ipswich is the county town situated at the mouth of the River Orwell. Some employment was found in Fisons fertiliser made from coprolite (fossilsed animal dune) as well as the dock which had an extensive fishing industry. Breweries were also present, such as Tolly Cobbold. In addition, Ipswich was highly agricultural and had several agricultural machinery factories within the town such as Ransomes, Sims and Jefferies Ltd (motor lawnmowers). Sugar beet factories were another large employer.
