Description: Someone who worked in the tailoring industry as an apprentice to a tailor for a fixed period in order to learn their trade. This normally finished at the age of 21. Upon successful completion of their apprenticeship they would become a Journeyman. A tailor made or repaired men's clothes such as jackets, shirts and trousers. In London, Saville Row became synonymous with tailoring and remains the place to go for a quality suit. This type of tailoring was all done by hand, producing unique items on each occasion.
