Description: The battle of Selle took place on 17-26 October 1918 British, Canadian and New Zealand, and Belgium troops and the German Empire. It took place during the last 100 days of the First World War and is one of the battle fought during the pursuit of the German army. During the battle the allies gained large amounts of territory and multiple villages. However, the Germans counter-attacked but were held off by Belgium troops. The end of the battle saw the resignation of General Erich Ludendorff and was a success for the allies.
