Description: The battle of Quatre Bras was fought between France and an alliance of Britain, German, Dutch and Beligan troops. The battle followed return of Napoleon after his exile to Corsica, and took place at the cross-roads of Quatre Bras. The idea was to occupy the Duke of Wellington's army whilst the two other French columns attached the Prussian army under Marshall Blucher. Whilst the battle was not a victory for the French, the army under Wellington was forced to withdraw to the village of Waterloo due to the defeat incurred by Blucher.
