Description: The siege of Sevastapol was fought between Russia and an alliance of Britain and France. The siege of Sevastapol lasted for much of the war and was largely fought in the trenches, hand to hand, as well as sustained artillery bombardments and sniper fire. Following the effective end to the siege, the war was not to last much longer.
