Description: The battle of Talana Hill was fought between the Boers and and the British. The battle followed British anxiety at the colony of Natal being fenced in by two Boer republics. Major General Symons led his reinforcements north where he was subsequently attacked by a Boer invasion force on Talana Hill. The battle resulted in a win for the British, who took the hill.
