Description: The battle of Magersfontein was fought between the Boers and and the British. The battle followed the battle of Modder River. Whilst the British, under Lord Methuen, repaired the bridge across the Modder River, the Boers dug their trenches at Magersfontein Hill. The battle resulted in a win for the Boers.
