Description: The battle of Belmont and Graspan was fought between the Boers and and the British. The battle was the result an attempt to raise the Boer siege of Kimberley. Lord Methuen's force moved north by railway, disembarking at Belmont and moving on the Boer position on Belmont kopje. The Boers moved back to the next line of kopjes at Graspan, where the British attacked again. The battle resulted in a win for the British.
