Description: The HMS Ivanhoe took part in the sinkiung of U-45 off the coast of Ireland in 1939, along with HMS Intrepid, HMS Icarus and HMS Inglefield. In 1940 she assisted in the mining of the German minesweepers M 61, M 89 and M 136 (with HMS Express, HMS Esk, HMS Princess Victoria and HMS Intrepid).
