Description: Initially part of the Royal Flying Corps, number 7 squadron was active from 1914. The squadron was comprised of Royal Aircraft Factory R.E.5, Vickers Gunbuses, Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2, Royal Aircraft Factory R.E.8. They took part in the following battles: the second battle of Ypres, the battle of Loos, the battle of the Somme, and the third battle of Ypres, also known as Passchendaele.


World War Two

Description: The number 7 squadron was comprised of Shot Stirling and Avro Lancaster aircraft. They were involved in the Normandy landings, part of Operation Overlord.
